on to win by a narrow margin. Tired and fell back rapidly. Steadily drawing away from the field. Gives excellent effort but does not win the race. Knocked from the race by another dog. Greyhound moves from inside to outside throughout the race. Intentional physical contact which obstructs or impeded the running of a dog. Was caught in heavy traffic and held up. Barely hung on to win. Misses winning by a nose. Wins right at the wire. Forced back after encountering trouble. Picks up speed in the final stages. Victim of a dog who interfered. Same as box to wire, all the way. Uneventful race, did not challenge leaders or other dogs. Consistent style and/or speed throughout race in back of pack. Never a real contender in the race.
